Home
We live in a three bedroom two bath home in the beautiful state of Utah. We love to play ball in the front yard and roast s'mores in the fire pit out back. Our surroundings includes mountains for miles, outdoor recreation for days, and beautiful summer nights. Everyone says we "earn" our incredible summer nights because the winter gets pretty chilly. Something that will never get old about living in our small town is the friendly ritual of a quick wave to every familiar face, which is about everyone you see.
Daily Life
I (Mom/Jayli) am a registered nurse working from home as a maternity case manager for pregnant moms. Cameron works in law enforcement for our county and is a great leader and example.

On any normal day you can find Cameron starting his day with time in the gym and I like to take it a little slower with a warm drink (can you say caffeinated hot chocolate?), quiet reading, then the gym or running afterward. After breakfast we get the day started with taking Lainey to school and work.

In the Summer we enjoy late nights and sleeping in as much as we can. Late night family movie nights, playing made up ball games in the yard, hammock hangouts, and family walks. It's not rare to find us at a ball game, visiting family, or riding our scooter around town. We make a summer bucket list each year with fishing, camping, splash pad trips, library trips and many other fun activities.

We love to be out in the hills in the Fall seeing the season change with beautiful color changing leafs and hunting season. Cameron is an assistant coach with the high school baseball team and it keeps us all busy during this time. We love going to fall festivals, pumpkin painting and carving, and watching our favorite football team.

During the Winter and Spring we like to take a family vacation to get out of the cold for a minute. We love supporting the youth in our town with their sports, playing in the winter snow and playing in the fresh spring rain. Spring is the start of softball coaching for Mom and playing for Lainey.

Parenting
The way we parent is positive parenting along with a sprinkle of other styles. We use warmth along with boundaries and expectations and mix in the emphasis of nurturing, love and understanding.
We believe in teaching by example and that it is okay to say "I'm sorry". We allow emotions to be felt and expressed and teach how to work with those emotions.
There may be some time outs or breaks from toys or electronics but it is always discussed afterward in a loving environment.
